1981
Relocation of Gehe' s head office from Munich to Stuttgart. Gehe & Co. AG trades as GEHE Aktiengesellschaft, Stuttgart.
1982
Acquisition of the private pharmaceutical wholesale company RUWA GmbH, Minden, with branches in Minden, Delmenhorst and Unna. Until 1985, branches are amalgamated as follows: Bremen to Delmenhorst, Hamm to Unna, Kelkheim to Weiterstadt.
1985
Acquisition of KAISER + KRAFT Group, Stuttgart, mail order business for offices, warehouses, factories and transport.
Until 1992, the customers in Germany are supplied from the branches in Hamburg, Berlin, Haan, Dresden, Stuttgart and Munich. In the following years, the group' s trading structure covers 14 countries throughout Europe and the USA.
1987
Occupancy of the head office's new administration building in Stuttgart - Bad Cannstatt.
Acquisition of the GAERNER Group (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands).
1988
Takeover of C & H DISTRIBUTORS, INC., Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA.
1989
Acquisition of the private pharmaceutical wholesale company Scharfe GmbH, Hamburg, followed by the relocation of GEHE's Hamburg branch.
Return to pharmaceutical production through the acquisition of the second largest generic drug manufacturer Azuchemie GmbH, Gerlingen. Renamed as Azupharma GmbH in 1990.
Acquisition of NEAT IDEAS LTD., Doncaster (United Kingdom).
Opening of the borders between East and West Germany.
