Establishment of the company
The chemist' s and dye business Gehe & Comp. is established in Dresden, by merchant Franz Ludwig Gehe (1810-1882).
In the 19th century, medicines produced by the pharmacist are luxury articles available only to the rich. Gehe extensively researches and simplifies the work for pharmacies and thus treads the path away from medicine as a luxury article towards medicine for everyone.
